Reinforced Rounded Cutters for Impact-Tolerant Coring

This reinforced ribbed PDC core bit uses thickened rounded cutting elements on separated crown ribs. The rounded profile is intended to improve impact tolerance and maintain stable cutting contact in variable coal-mine and exploration formations.

Thickened Rounded Cutters

Rounded reinforced cutting elements provide a less aggressive contact profile for variable or locally fractured formations.

Ribbed Open Crown

Separated ribs leave open channels for flushing, cooling and cuttings evacuation.

Core-System Matching

Crown geometry, core opening, cutter layout and thread are configured around the actual sampling system.

Selection and Operating Guidance

Recommended when

  • The formation varies or contains locally fractured intervals.
  • Stable coring and cutter impact tolerance are priorities.
  • A core sample is required in coal-mine or exploration work.

Confirm before ordering

  • Formation variability, hardness and abrasiveness
  • Core barrel, outer diameter, inner opening and thread
  • Rig parameters, flushing medium and expected sample length

Performance depends on formation, rig parameters, flushing and operating practice. Final configuration should be confirmed by the technical team.
