Selecting the working diameter

Large-diameter PDC bits require more torque and hydraulic cleaning. A diameter that physically fits the rig may still exceed practical pump, feed or drill-string limits.

Confirming the connection
API REG connections are common in water-well tooling, but sizes are not interchangeable. Record the full designation, pin or box orientation and shoulder condition. If the tool uses a proprietary or local thread, provide a drawing or measured sample.
