Construction and geotechnical drilling can support site investigation, anchoring, grouting, foundation work, slope stabilization and underground construction. Diameter control, inclination, borehole stability, access and spoil removal may be as important as penetration.

Record site constraints

Restricted headroom, urban access, platform capacity, noise controls, water management and the need to work close to existing structures can affect rig size and drilling method. Send site photographs and working-envelope dimensions when space is limited.

Match the tool system

  • PDC bits: discuss geometry, cleaning and connection for suitable ground and rock intervals.
  • DTH systems: review hard-rock drilling with the compressor, hammer, bit and casing plan.
