TSP Core Drill Bit for Hard-Rock Geological Exploration

TSP core drill bit with thermally stable polycrystalline cutters for hard-rock geological exploration and deep formation sampling.
Size: BQ / 2 3/8"

Thermally Stable TSP Cutters for Hard-Rock Core Drilling

This TSP core bit uses thermally stable polycrystalline cutting elements for geological and mineral exploration in hard-rock formations. TSP provides greater heat tolerance than conventional PDC, while successful deep drilling still depends on formation-specific cutter layout, stable feed and adequate flushing.

Higher Thermal Stability

TSP cutting elements are selected for harder drilling conditions where cutting heat can challenge conventional PDC.

Hard-Rock Core Recovery

The open crown is designed to recover formation samples for geological and mineral analysis.

Formation-Matched Crown

Cutter shape, count, exposure, crown geometry and waterways must match rock hardness and abrasiveness.

Selection and Operating Guidance

Recommended when

  • Hard-rock core recovery is required for geological or mineral analysis.
  • Thermal stability is a priority over conventional PDC.
  • Rig and flushing system can support controlled coring.

Confirm before ordering

  • Rock hardness, abrasiveness, fracture condition and target depth
  • Core-barrel standard, outer/inner diameter and connection
  • Rig speed, feed, flushing pressure/flow and expected run length

Performance depends on formation, rig parameters, flushing and operating practice. Final configuration should be confirmed by the technical team.
